What to expect from naturopathic treatment

Initial intake and treatment - 75 min

Initial appointments with an ND might be longer than what you’re used to…75 minutes to be exact! This gives me the chance to go beyond just asking where it hurts.  I take the time to get detailed about all of your health concerns, as well as your lifestyle.  During this visit additional labs and testing may be ordered.

You will leave your first visit with a treatment plan that is tailored to you! I consider your financial constraints, cultural practices, and general preferences to make sure that your treatment plan is one that will be effective and sustainable for you long term. As an ND I go beyond just making a prescription- I take the time to explain what’s going on in your body and the reason behind your treatment plan.

Follow up visits - 45/30/15 min

Follow up visits range from 30-45 minutes depending on your needs.  These visits are used to reevaluate your health concerns, go over lab work, update or tweak your treatment protocol, and deliver manual therapies such as acupuncture and cupping.  The length between visits is determined on an individual basis.

Long term strategy

Education is a key component of naturopathic medicine.   This means that I will leave you with a comprehensive tool kit for so that you can continue your health journey without the need for frequent follow up visits.
